Really cool recipe site…
October 15th, 2008I have stumbled upon a site chef at large, and love it! The people are so friendly and actually comment back to you. I am off to try some more recipes, because my wife loves it when I cook!

Man, fall is definitely here! My kids have been sick for weeks, it seems. You know, the back to school, get sick the first week, then we’re ok, now WHAM, we’re taking turns being sick. First my son got the cold. Then I did. Then my daugther got the flu. Then I did. Then I got the cold too. What’s up with that? My wife seems to be the only strong one around here! (I guess they are the stronger then men, but don’t say I said that).
I love it when the kids dress up, actually I like to dress up for Halloween also! We typically don’t go Trick - or - Treating, because we just buy the candy and eat it! The kids get together with school mates and do games and have fun, rather than the door to door thing. I’m sure they will enjoy that someday, but for now I’m not doing it LOL. Here’s some pumpkin pictures to enjoy!
We made it through the storm and ended up going skiing for a week. The kids really enjoyed the snow. We took lessons and went sledding a lot! My daughter complained a lot about being cold, but forgot pretty quick when she was having fun! We went with a group of friends so there was a lot for us to do at all times. Here’s a picture of our son skiing
Ready or not. It’s been a rough few days with lots of rain and flooding. In the mountains it’s been snowing and the run off is just pounding the rivers. We’ve been under flood watch for days and we’re thinking of leaving with the kids. If we can make it to ski week, we can get away for a week or so. We’re just hoping the weather holds out for another week so we can get out of here!
We had a fantastic time at Disney! Christmas morning was great too! The kids opened up their gifts and didn’t really get it until we broung out the “ears”. It was a great trip and a fun vacation - made my wife and I feel like kids. As a matter of fact we want to go back by ourselves and be kids! Have a great day!
And my house is excited! My wife and I have been planning all those Christmas things, like what to get as the big present and the “filler” ones. Well, we can’t wait for Christmas, because we’re going to surprise them and take them to Disney World the next day for 5 days! We’ve wrapped up clothes and stuff for the plane and a set of “mickey ears”. How fun is that? I’ll post after the trip.
